An idead i had in mind comes from the EMP mission on the forum maybe a helicopter crash with your squad during a sand storm you have to pull out of the red zone and back to the blue zone while taking out targets on the way maybe AA guns for helicopter extraction.

Hey guys, A while back I simulated a black hawk down in Feruz... It's not quite what you guys are talking about but we can obs tweak it... There's a script for a heli crash if we can get the sounds synced, other than that the mission I created was to reach the FOB before sun down due to the multiple re-inforcements entering.
I think if we bring in an urgency or some form of escapism we could make gameplay a lot more urgent, mature, responsible, stressful and fun.

Idea for African map.
Mission "Out-Off-Ammo"
Idea is that theres gonna be more enemies than bullets in your mags. Fire coming from so many angles so you gonna be eating ground.
scenario= Friendly forces have to pull back from region beacuse of political reasons. They left behinde few men on hill, in order to buy some time for civilians, to try escape genocide.
attackers= African Militia defenders= Bundeswehr
task= 1) hold position on hill till you run off ammo 2) pull back to last evac
dynamic waves= spawning enemy groups every ?mins (short space of time)
punish system= when enemies reach some radius around your hill, it will spawn some extra stuff against you 800m radius - vehicles 500m radius - snipers 400m radius - mortars 200m radius - ?

yet i think Mjac wont be able to stay alive untill his mags are empty
PS. Speaking frankly - to my shame I cant remember any mission in Arma where i was left out of ammo - always KIA much earlier

Well...Mjac will be the only one who survives this, because he gets lost so that even the enemy can't find him When you have a good run in ACE Insurgency, where you "just" get wounded and healed few times, you can run out of ammo - happened only twice and others had mags for me...and of course UNSUNG...wasting bullets in the jungle, because you may hit someone between all these bushes and trees...you never know

During coop with other clan I was always running low on ammo.
I watched one documantary about US soldiers in Afghan.
On regular patrol they took just 7-10 mags. Its enough for firefight one soldier said.

Yeah, true Frost. Saw that in various docus. But one thing why I take about 20 STANAG mags, is that e.g. in Insurgency we fight with 2-6 guys against 300+ units, which is a little lack of realism, but we don't want that the game ends after 30 mins. Another thing is the intensity of enemy attack, the location and the organisation of the enemy units. For example on the "Schwarze Karfreitag" the enemy observed the German units for 2 hours before they engaged. After this the Germans needed 1 hour to figure out, from where they get shot and they fought 9 hours...that made them run low on ammo. And I wonder that the Americans - the trigger happy guys - take not more ammo...But probably on standard patrol it's enough. If anyone don't know it, check it out (German language): Well planned ambush, 9 hours of fight, 3 dead and some wounded German soldiers, one blown up Dingo 2A2...

Description: Training mission for identification places from where the shots coming.
Task: Most players in static area, one or two players in 300-400m radius on hills or in green zones, able to teleperot to few predict areas (N NE E SE S SW W NW).
Those two players will start shooting and players in the base have to identify where they are. (than type in chat)
If the identification is correct attacker change position by teleport flag.
