For those who play Evo/Demo on full game - this is a daring tactics that will work
Instead of usual build up of forces on some farp above the objective town - take a transport chopper at base and then make some important things:
1. call in chat for volonteers who wish to participate in airborne assault on radiotower (the tower that calls in enemy reinforcements).
2. gather them all in your chopper and fly to objective
3. insure that you or any other player in game has the ability to call in artillery strike, and maybe coordinate yourself also with some pilot in the sky
4. so as radiotower is positioned in random location inside objective town and is usually very close to some side of it - choose landing zone in that direction (it should be safe from AA fire)
5. after you land and disembark your team - move on foot without fire to as close to radiotower as possible.
6. call in artillery strike right on the radiotower, and if possible send pilot to strike this area with bombs
7. now your assault group must attack and kill all remaining enemies before AI starts reinforce radiotower
8. rush to radiotower and place charges under it
9. run away and blow the tower
If you succeed the enemy will stop sending reinforcements to town and the only thing you need is to finish relatively weak and cut off forces.
This tactics is a lot more fun then what they do usually. I.e. to build up the farp (repair spot above the town from where tanks and vehicles can fire on objective and be repaired if killed) takes time. The radiotower usually stands in a distance from farp and players loose many lives trying to get to it through an enemy packed streets even with a support of heavy fire from farp. The game would turn to a nasty dirty all out battle where scores of AI and ppl gets killed for no results (sometimes it all lasts for hours)
Airborne assault would instead be a quick and decisive low cost action which will finish the town very fast. Especially airborne assault is effective when the town yet is undisturbed - in which case the tower is not yet reinforced and is usually guarded by a small squad of infantry.
What you need before going for airborne assault is to look at map - if the radiotower is very close to some side of town its good - very short way to battle to it, but if the radiotower is close to farp position (easy to reach from farp) or is right in the center of town (hard to kill all enemies on the way to it) maybe its better to use standard tactics. Also you need to think of the direction from where enemy reinforcements are coming. If the battle for the town has already started it would not be wise to land between the tower and the place from where scores of enemy vehicles move to it.
I played this way only in Arma 1. The tactics worked perfectly for all towns. Even such vast fortresses as Bagango, Corasol and Ortego can be taken in a minute strike on its suburb with the unfortunate radiotower standing there exposed to a short run of demolition man. Many players would understand your idea very quickly and would join your effort. You can just get a sergeant rank to pilot little bird, take a team on board, and then some kind high ranked monster will agree to make artillery strike on request for you. Thats all you need
