Question is: to be or not to be ! For a good coop and real military simulation, is good units feeling about lose lives.so, take care more and try to keep his own life in game first. other hands is if somebody died soon, he had to wait until end game round, but at least he can watch others team mates actions and movements via spectate mod after died. BTW, I would like to know you prefer which one, coop missions with no respawn and balanced enemy forces as real world OR coop with respawn against more enemy units? please vote and if u have some comments, share it.

I vote for no respawn
All these beautiful and immersive missions are being played with no respawn. And I believe we as DAMteam now have sufficient numbers to play squad+ size missions on password protected server in similar way
Recent days I had just the same feelings as you Mo - to ask ppl or suggest starting playing no-respawn things. Game with respawn feels like game, and no respawn feels more like real life
What is also good about no respawn is that killed player gets out of chat - so he can't say smth like "i am killed, enemy left of us, kill him!". And imagine how dramatic will mission be on expert level when your teammate stops answering your calls (is he killed? wounded? close to enemy?).

This subject is NOT valid. When you have 5-6-7 people hanging around no respawn will not work. If we had like 100 members -as ST does- then we talk about it. Also-VOTING : From the member list only the half is really active, so you cant have a full opinion.(Plus, not even all are voting) sasha I like your daydreaming . Im doing it aswell sometimes...but we are not ST. Thats why i watch every fucking video of them since 09'

Sparta I think u misunderstood this thread. The results only affects is Mo going to start create no respawn maps more. And this doesn't consider PvP game modes: "For a good coop and real military simulation, is good units feeling about lose lives."
No respawn works better for small number of players than big because some players usually die at start and some have a habit to get bored waiting round to stop and leave.

Actually, playing no respawn in password protected server is not a dream - I actualy start my server in OA demo usually with small no-respawn mission and play with noobs - and even with noobs sometimes we play it decently
What makes ST massive missions interesting above others is coordination between multiple units, they have a company+ size operations (several platoons of inf plus supporting air or armor)
We at present have numbers to play squad+ size missions (7 to 9 foot soldiers with 1 or 2 supporting airunits or armored, up to 12 DAMteam players in game) - not that bad btw - just 4 months ago we could handle only a fireteam+ size missions
For no-respawn PvP maybe we are not enough in numbers...
However - we can probably contact other clans and play a joint coop or pvp

Yes, thats it. Massive missions with many players. If you want organised game you should have DAM members. And how many are we exactly?

I feel we have around 50 enlisted, 20 active playing, and 10 pending - KSK knows better
Maybe we can think of the idea to contact other clans, joining some mighty tactical server as a team

Current pending number is 6 (you, Sasha, as admin can see them if you move to admin panel. Everyone else can find the pending members list under "Important" board; it's almost on the latest status). And concerning the topic itself: I really like realism, that's why I vote for no respawn. But from time to time, if have the desire of an intensive and too large firefight, that it's unrealistic and for that, respawn is needed to get fun.
